Consumer Reports conducted a national survey on CBD use in January 2019 to find out whether it is changing lives and how. The highlights, some guidance, and a fair bit of relevant information can be found in "CBD Goes Mainstream" written by Lisa L. Gill and published April 11, 2019.
From 1000 people surveyed they found one quarter of people in the U.S. said they have tried CBD. It was found most common with people in their 20s but even 15% of people 60 and older have tried CBD.
Interestingly 22% of CBD consumers have replaced an OTC or prescription drug with it. Please talk to a medical professional before ditching a safe, effective and proven medication for CBD. Though, a third of those who reported replacing a medication said it was for an opioid.
