Push-up capacity of >40 push-ups associated with reduced risk of cardiovascular events

The importance of a clear goal can mean the difference between accomplishment, growth, pushing through adversity, and giving up. That is why I love this recent study published in JAMA Network that showed push-ups a significant reduction in cardiovascular disease event risk for active adult men that could pump out 40 push-ups versus those who could do fewer than 10.

The great news is that 40 push-ups is achievable for most healthy people and getting there is going to make you feel great. If you need a little how-to guide to help get you to your goal, then we suggest this gentle 4-week program from www.health.com to give you a clear path to your goal.
